This channel is really growing on me. I was at work today and I had to deal with a woman that was particularly nasty to me and rather than have it scare me or get upset and reactive i did my best to step back and do my job without letting her attitude affect me. I wasn’t mean back and didn’t let it change the focus in my mind and honestly I feel like once you show that you’re not weak and you won’t bend your character people respect that and back off. It’s not easy but it is necessary. Have a great day.

I like this channel because Ryan H is wise but humble. He admits his own growth struggles, gives credit to his mentors and the Stoic philosophers, AND he doesn't try to act like some bearded rabbi or old sage who was *born* enlightened. I like his honesty as well as his advice.

I'm a true natural stoic and didn't even realize. All these shorts resonate w me. I'm this way w out even thinking about it. I have my moral compass and I follow that and don't get upset when the way I am w others isn't reciprocated back to me. Who cares? So long as I know I'm doing the right thing.

I find stoicism hard to truly grasp, in terms of how to be apart from the negative aspects of others, yet not creating too much emotional distance to be devoid of real connections.
