I just binge watched old episodes on Amazon Prime and fell in love with the characters. Then I tried to watch current episodes. OMG, there is no comparison from the old to the new. The new ones are so boring, they are unwatchable. Thanks so much for uploading these. I haven't seen them yet.

A History note, this was the first episode to introduce Chris Tate and the first one to have it's name title changed from Emmerdale Farm to Emmerdale!!

I only wish they'd air it in its original 4:3 whatever you call it. Stretching it out makes it look a bit funny, but at least we get to have them in good quality. Thanks for uploading.

Is the last episode with old title Emmerdale Farm 09.11.89 available on UT?

Why does Emmerdale always get picked on and accused of not being the same show now as it was in the 70s, 80s, or whatever?

They dropped 4 letters from the show's title... That's the only difference between Emmerdale and any other soap... Apart from the fact that some have always been in the same, purpose-built location... But that's because some started much later when more money was available, and they were always intended to be permanent.

The show now focuses on different characters... That's the only "real" difference from now and 1972, 1982, 1992, 2002 or whatever... But look at Coronation Street... Where's Bet, where's Stan & Hilda Ogden? Does that mean it's not the same show now as it was earlier in it's run?

The same could be said for EastEnders... In 1985 it was all about Den, Michelle, Pauline, Arthur, etc... None of these characters are around now, but it's still EastEnders!

So Emmerdale is still the same show it's always been, for 48 years, and it is the second-longest running drama serial currently on TV... Deal with it!

back when chris tate was a fairly likeable businessman as aposed to the bitter and twisted cripple the writers turned him into later on in the series. and is it just me or he doesn't sound as posh here?
