A large solar flare means the northern lights could be visible as far south as Colorado.

Forecasters at the Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder say a solar storm is expected to hit the earth's magnetic field on Saturday causing a geomagnetic storm.

It will probably bring the Aurora Borealis down as far south as Casper, Wyoming. If the surge of energy is slightly stronger than expected, we may even see a green glow on the northern horizon here in Colorado Saturday night.

My brother loves his photography. He’s in Denver and would have loved this. Although vaccinated he has just been put on a ventilator due to Covid.
