Sozopoli is a small, picturesque refugee settlement located near Polygyros, in Halkidiki. It was founded after the Asia Minor Catastrophe, when refugees from Asia Minor settled in the area, and it retains characteristics of refugee architecture, with a particular cultural colour.

The beach of Sozopol is one of the main attractions of the area, with the purity of the waters and the quiet atmosphere attracting visitors seeking relaxation. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of the coastal landscape and relax on the sandy shore.

Although a recently established settlement, Sozopoli offers an interesting combination of history and natural beauty, with its traditional village atmosphere and its amazing beach.

Heading to the southeast towards the coast, you will reach the village of Sozopoli; it lies beside the sea and alongside the ideal beaches, especially for families, there are bars, cafes, restaurants, fish-taverns, playgrounds, and sports facilities.
