Vigla Naxos Greece
Vigla, just south of Chora, is one of the most famous windsurfing spots in Naxos. The wind is perfect for windsurfing and kite-surfing, and many water sport centers line this beach. The northern part of Vigla is wonderful, with soft golden sand and crystalline turquoise waters and is blessed by the meltemi winds (north winds specific to the Cyclades). The southern part of the beach (on the other part of the hill) is a long sandy beach called Sahara with amazing water; because it is protected from the meltemi winds, it is considered as a calm family beach.
