Nah, It's the same as last year's rewards but with a little bit of extra stuff. I mean free gems is nice and all, but imo there should've been even a little bit more. Nah, MMORPGs are literally living off the community, especially Gacha games. The anniversary is always a celebration that the game made it another year, due to the strong support of the community. Genshin is one of the most grossing games ever and therefore it'd logically mean better rewards for the anniversary (FFBE and Guardian Tales are prime examples of that).
The worst thing about bad rewards in general is the fact, that, even though Genshin has a pity system, we still get every patch 1~2 new 5* characters, which means, we get new characters faster than we can even attempt to pull for (even as a low-spender most of the time) + we don't even get the oppurtinity to come close to pity with the anniversary rewards.

They should at least give 30~40 wishes imo and some good amount of resources (mora, books, crystals etc.).
Ppl who say "be happy that we get anything" should really reflect on the whole situation: The game lives off the community and their money and we basically get a middle-finger back.

I wouldn't even complain, if they'd atleast adress all the existing problems in Genshin since v.1.2 (no end game, co-op experience is ass and unengaging, no proper testing ground (for teams and dmg) and the list goes on), but we get neither that nor do we get atleast "compensated" properly (not even at the anniversary lmao).



If this doesn't piss you off as a player (or offends you in some way), than I don't know how you even perceive the relationship between game-studios and their customers lol

It's sad how we are conditioned by hoyo to think these rewards are good enough. Personally, I don't even expect anything from them anymore which is kinda sad. The anime collab is cool but it doesn't really correlate to the anniversary since no dates means we won't see it in the near future.. We'd be lucky if it comes out in a year but I doubt it.
For the white knights who count the events as rewards, those events are normal every patch. So the 20 pulls and the other items are the only rewards for their 2 year anniversary.

Pretty weak for soemthing that’s supposed to show up to two years of “gratitude.” The people want characters, it’s their gateway into the enjoyment of the game. Give us a reward that equals a 5 star. Be it in the form of wishes or a standard banner 5 star of choice. It ultimately affects player longevity, discouraged players will leave without getting their character, while players with a new avenue to play the game will continue to enjoy it and spend more. Also free diluc means people pony up for the skin, seems short sighted and greedy of hoyoverse

They should have added an event in the game related to the anniversary that gives rewards to make us feels there is something special to do in-game during that period, like the free 20 pulls is good enough to get for just logging in and grabbing it from the mail, but no freaking event? It feels dry

They literally gave the same rewards as last year even after all that backlash huh. The 2nd anniversary rewards is just a huge middle finger to the community

Meanwhile PGR's 2nd and 2.5 anniversary will give the players a free S rank selena, free selena and ayla coatings, Free meta pet, Buff and rework on A ranks, free no. 21 beach skin, 14 random pulls, 30-40 pulls on basic banner, 30 something pulls for debut banner, 100 percent rate up on all constructs and transcendants (your pick of choice of course), Free S rank character and weapon selector up to luna, and a buttload of resources

Take note that kurogame is nowhere near genshin in terms of sales but they sure know how to treat their players fair and square.

I wish they gave the community 2 different types of rewards depending on the type they are. A free 5 star for those who hope better rewards and 1 pull for those who are happy with what they are given and would gladly take anything. This would please the community and make both sides happy :D
