I must say that the first time I listened to Sunrise, it wasn't for me. I listened to it again. Then again. Then again. Then again. Then I put it on repeat. It captivated me. Then I started singing along to it. Then I started singing it even without the song playing. The song is amazing. I love the violin part. Tim's voice is different from Tom's. I love them both for their different qualities. I wish Tim was the lead vocalist of Keane more often than just the few songs.

The lyrics are poetic, uplifting, and incredibly full of meaning and passion. They resonate with me, as I am sure they would with many of you. Anyone going through a tough time in life can relate.

My favorite line: What if you are not the man you wish that you had been?

Only Tim can see the glassy, fragile beauty of the predawn hours and wring such emotion from it with word and sound. I hear a musical nod to 'higher than the sun', as if that riff is the sonic signature of the sun for him.
