Older women are leaving because the teaching is not from the Bible... it's more about society stuff and money.

Recently left a church because of issues like this. When I confronted leadership with Timothy and Titus, they asked 'why should women be below all the men in the church?'

I said, I don't want them to be. I want them to be with 99% of men in the church, in pews and obedient to the Word. Elders aren't just men, they are qualified men. If you think all men fit that category, you are the one in error.

When I was a young girl I couldn’t hold a high school job. I never wanted to leave my room. I felt like a loser because my family wanted me to work and get a degree but I wasn’t book smart either. Shy but polite. The only job I was good at working at a nursing home but I quit because I was too physically weak to pick up old people. When I became a mom everything started making sense. I was perfect for being a stay at home mom and spouse. God had a plan for me. It wasn’t extraordinary but essential. Now that I’m seeing all these women taking careers and leaving their kids with strangers it made me feel like my role was very important. Moms like me are needed. To raise strong moral valued kids and keep the home structure secure.

As a woman it’s not about restrictions… it’s about women wanting to be the “boss” to be leaders, to be more important and they think by usurping a man’s authority is how to do it.

I'm a woman and I still go to church with my husband.

I agree with what you’re saying.
A church shouldn’t be a rock concert. It should be a school to learn about God

I left one church due to bad doctrine and joined another with good doctrine.

I am a Christian woman. I was raised in the church & went to a Christian school. I took my children to church. I was very active. I did the Summer School, was in the choir & women's quartet. But now my children are grown & am by myself. I worship at home. One thing I didn't care for was the clicks in the church. There's some judging & gossip.

My husband and I both just left institutional church. I have been a Believer for 47 years and always very involved in church.
We are now doing a home fellowship based more on 1 Corinthians 14:26.

Because of my health issues, I meet at a house with 3 other women (also with their own health issues).
We listen to a doctrinally sound message.
Then we have lunch there and fellowship.

I want to raise my daughter to be a mother and wife that faithfully serves the Lord. It’s a minefield out there with Satan wanting to destroy our kids.

I saw this article and when this women said the church "would not survive if women leave", I was shocked. The church will ALWAYS survive. The church is the body of believers not the brick and mortar fun centers. What a fraud.

I have not left the "church." The church is not a building. I don't attend church because there is no one who preaches sound doctrine in my area anymore. All the pastors want to be Steven Furtick.

It's because bible is not being taught and leaves us empty😢

Some of us are quitting for different reasons, not because we want to be in charge but because some churches are encouraging women pastors.

I believe in complementarianism, and I don't want to be led by a female pastor.

I left several years ago. Every church I went to had bad doctrine or didn't even open up a Bible. I heard really weird, progressive stuff that didn't make any sense if they would study scripture. After trying many, many churches, where do you go? I got tired of the heartache. I was never able to contribute or make any close relationships with anyone. Most people I met were closed off and not willing to extend a hand of friendship, and a few were just plain rude. I love the Lord, but haven't found a healthy church yet.

Isaiah 3:12 (KJV) As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

I left my church because they shamed me for refusing to teach a Sunday School class. Loaded with men to include2 Deacons. I was told repeatedly. ‘That’s not what the Bible says’ coming from the Superintendent of Sunday School…a Woman, and the Pastor saying Sodom and Gomorrah was not destroyed because of the sin committed by the men in those cities and by all the residents who did not speak out! That’s it. I’m gone!

We are leaving because we are tired of being belittled, assumed upon and told we are less than by men like this. There’s no reason to stay.

Several years ago, I left the church. I was approaching 30. I was unmarried. I went to church in a small town where everyone my age was already married. I was ostracized and treated like a second-class citizen. I started going back to church because I got married. I'm still reluctant to trust "church" people. I find myself wondering in what way I don't measure up to their standard. The ironic thing is that the idea of not getting married was pushed on me in the church. "Dating leads to sin" and "Jesus is coming back anyway" were taught in my youth group. I wonder if this leaving is caused by the church truly failing women. I felt like I was failed.
