Technically any computer with any decent graphics card should be able to handle 8k footage. If graphics card can process millions of triangles in video games and fill them with texture it doesn’t make sense why we need such a high requirements for 2d clip.

Why is 8:1 compression redcode 75x less data? Wouldn't that be redcode 75:1?

Screw Apple. #walkaway I made my first threadripper build last year and it opened my eyes. My pc has no problem with 5k red raw files at 8:1. Can’t wait for cuda acceleration. I only have a 1080ti and it appears that will make a huge benefit as well!
