What does it take to become the Principal Percussionist for a major symphony orchestra? We'll hear from Matt Howard, Principal Percussionist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, about what it takes to make it through the audition process from mental preparation to physical conditioning.

Only one of my teachers talked about how similar auditions are to recitals (because no one else did, everyone else's opinions outweighed this teacher's), and it's starting to free up my playing so much to play as if it's a recital.
