Love these tips! Most craft room organizing videos I've seen focus on wood and paper craft items, which are helpful to me. But, since I also have fabric, this one gave me great tips in that realm. Thank you!

I have a craft room that has a sign I made that says “enter at your own risk, mad crafter works here”. I have a tendency to work on more than one thing at a time so there’s always a mess on my limited space table. My room is small to begin with but I do try to organize. I out up a shelf that runs the full wall and use those foldable containers. I have metal shelving on one door and a closet full too. I hang my scissors off those shelves with cup hooks. I use those plastic containers with the holes for the skinny ribbon and secure them with a dowel and run the ribbon through the holes. I pull and cut what I need. Necessity is the Mother of invention, they say. I picked up some good hints from you too. Can’t wait to see the next video. Some crafters can ONLY work in a mess and they do great work.

Patti, the ribbon storage was a winner for me! I would never thought to even look for ribbon spools. Another plus is that they won't roll around.

Thank you so much Patti! I went from having a whole bedroom and space in my basement to having to share the utility room and part of our laundry room . Let me tell you what a struggle it's been. I've been here a year and I'm not even close to being organized. Your tips for ribbon and fabric are absolutely perfect! I have 2 large drawers of ribbon and I think if I took them all off of the rolls to winding them on the cards, I could reduce it to one drawer or less . So thank you! Yarn is my struggle . It takes up 2 large shelves and that's with putting it in vacuum bags . So aside from purging stuff that I use, do you have some tips for yarn storage?

This was so helpful! Trust me you are not the only one with a disaster craft room after Christmas, mine is always a mess in January. I have just overhauled my entire craft room and it’s wonderful but I struggle with ribbon storage so I think I’ll look into the cart you had. Thanks so much, Patti! ♥️

I just love the idea of smashing the spools so I can fit everything in nice without overflowing. I’m definitely going to try that in my area.

Amazing!!!! Right now I have my ribbon in a drawer lined up inside of plastic shoe totes. All of my Christmas ribbon is stored in a separate box. Years ago I purchased the plastic bobbins for my embroidery floss since I used to cross stitch. I have the bobbin boxes for storage. I never thought of using vacuum sealer bags to store large amounts of fabric. I have oodles of quilt batting that is a total pain to store. Honestly it makes perfect sense but Thank you for the suggestion. I do love the dollar tree canisters for odd end ribbons. Every one of your suggestions is perfect. The lazy Susan bins are a game changer, since it seems nothing stays organized on that thing in the corner..hides stuff great but…..😂❤❤
