honestly, i’m really bummed about the current state of the game, especially since the updates seem to be taking so long to come out. i guess i just assumed that 343 had a larger dev team/more resources, but at their current pace, that’s clearly not the case. i really hope they expand and get some more help, cuz they’re gonna need it if this is the pace they plan to roll out content for the entirety of infinite’s lifespan as a live service game

I wouldnt trust the numbers when it comes to Publishers rating games on their own store. Steam for example often lists the $1000 Valve index as one of the highest selling games/ products apparently outselling other highly rated games like God of war.

Player loss from launch is completely normal. And we live in a day and age where the right updates and advertising can revive a game if it loses it’s player base. Luckily we aren’t at that point yet with Halo Infinite.

What this game desperatelyneeds to revive hope within the player base or at least have a date marked on their map to hop back into the game is a road map. Them seemingly shadow dropping things isn’t gonna cut it when there isn’t enough content in the game and too many issues plaguing it to be just dropping updates whenever they feel like it. A road map would go a long way in making sure players have an idea of what’s gonna happen with the game in the future and bring players back in once whatever in the road map is added to the game.

Also, enough toying around with the store, man. Sort it out. Stop just nudging us and make a push in the right direction.

(Reposting the following comment below in hopes it reaches 343 or someone who has the power to bring it to 343’s attention)

Changes I and many others would like to see made in no particular order but some of these should take more precedent than others:

- General bug and server fixes

- Fix customs and theater

- Fix BTB

- Menu/UI overhaul

- Store revamped to a catalog type storefront so you can purchase at all times individual items, excluding event items. Rotational items will only consist of bundles and sales on individual items.

- Prices of items, specifically armor, vehicle, and weapon pieces and coatings, further reduced as far as individual items:

Legendaries: $5 or 500 credits
Epics: $4 or 400 credits
Rares: $3 or 300 credits

As for bundles, they’re in a better place as far as prices but I’d like to see more value for the price added to them in the future.

- Balance changes to the sandbox. Weapons currently have no need for nerfs at this point in the game and weapons like the Pulse Carbine, Ravager and Plasma Pistol are in desperate need of a buff.

- Buff the vehicle health pool and weapons on the Banshee to make it a much more enjoyable vehicle to use.

- Implement a way for players to earn credits via gameplay, outside of the battle pass alone, so that players who consistently play are rewarded, even if they don’t buy the battle pass or credits. Completing all weeklys and rewarding players with credits would be an excellent way to reward players for time investment or credits per match, something. A fair way to earn them, even if it is grindy, would go a long way to making the game feel rewarding and it could also incentivize players to spend if they feel like they’re being treated fairly.

- Revamp the challenge system. Currently it’s a mess and I’d like to see it overhauled to something akin to Halo’s competitors like Apex Legends.

- Cross core customization as the ability to share the coatings between armor cores. Armor pieces would be a welcome addition to customization and create some amazing armor combos but coatings being shared amongst the cores is most important.

- Map voting and pre-game lobbies

- Objective modes such as Oddball & Strongholds should be their own playlists till more objective modes are added and the challenge system is less mode specific tied

- With every event and mode tied to said event, the modes such as attrition should be permanent additions to the gametype selection till Halo Infinite has a complete and content rich list of old and new modes. Once those old modes have been added, the more creative and fun gametypes can be limited to the events they’re tied to.

Halo Infinite has me for the long haul because at the end of the day the gameplay is just solid enough to keep me coming back 👌

I've moved to the MCC, I just find the experience of it so much more fun, I'll return to Infinite when they actually finish the game. The core is fun but it really feels like 343 doesn't have QA team. Everything that was broken when the game came out were the things we didn't get to test in the flights, when they released the full game on the 8th they broke BTB. When they tried to fix BTB they made the game more unstable on PC and failed to fix BTB. Where is this "extensive testing" they have to go through which they keep claiming is the reason these updates take longer than expected. I'm just extremely disappointed but I hope for the best on the game, I just can't be bothered for now. Good campaign tho

Everyone stressing about multiplayer while I'm here having fun on campaign...🤐

At this point I'm willing to wait for them to do a Battlefront 2/MCC style turnaround and make the game what it's supposed to be. I'd rather have payed full price for campaign+multiplayer if it meant we got a complete game at launch. What's 20 million x 60 dollars?

It's all PVP for Halo though. D2 is a live service PVE Co-Op game with a PVP mode all it's own. When Witch Queen launches later this month, D2 is going to have a massive spike in player base again. Most people have already finished this season and have moved over to Halo. They'll drop back from Halo and pick up Destiny again on the 22nd. Witch Queen has sold over 1, 000, 000 preorders.

Honestly high numbers on infinite concerns me more as it means people are putting up with how slowly 343 update the game. If it was bleeding players they'd probably act quicker to address the issues

I'm just burned out on games releasing barebones and unfinished and having to play a beta for almost a year because that's what this basically is. I love the gameplay, but it is just way too barebones and they didn't learn from Halo 5 at all regarding this.. Just burned out on live service games and how they abuse the system to finish development post launch instead of expanding. 343's development also feels WAY too slow compared to other studios. Over 5 weeks of BTB being broken. It's just unacceptable and things need to change.

SIDE NOTE. 25 melee kills in attrition… thats at LEAST a 5 game challenge. i thought they fixed that bullshit. unbelievable
