I drove a school bus while working my way through graduate school. Sometimes the kids asked me to turn on the dome lights during the early morning bus run before the sun was up. When I tried, I realized WHY my parents lied to me about it: it was because unequal light made my windows act more like mirrors, preventing me from seeing outside - where there could be traffic, pedestrians, etc. At that point, I simply told my passengers the truth: it's a safety issue - not a legal issue. Interior lights make the inside of your windows act like mirrors, preventing a better view of oncoming and ongoing traffic (and other hazards) during the dark hours.

I think it’s funny about waiting 30 minutes after you eat to go back in the pool. What if you waited only 29 minutes? Will you die? I grew up with a pool and most of my birthday parties were pool parties. Despite my parents telling us to wait 30 minutes do you think we did? Hell no! And I’m still alive. So many stupid myths and I believed most of them. And I probably passed some of them down to my own kids.
