I can't believe that Mojang pours infinite effort and passion into creating the most BANGER April Fools updates imaginable, only to fail to add _THREE DECORATIVE MOBS_ to the *BEST SELLING GAME OF ALL TIME* and instead to a stupid vote that always splits the community, fractures whatever unity it has and overall is very detrimental for the game. Or maybe it isn't, as it always gets trending and creates huge sense of hype around it, even if for the wrong reasons..?

Anyways, very nice recap, I'd say you needed to give a quick mention Hermitcraft season 9 ending too (As that season specifically was very significant to Minecraft as a whole, with the whole SMP crossover deal), but oh well.

2023 has been such a year for Minecraft. Starting from something silly like the April Fools update (Seriously, they keep getting better with each joke updates) to some sad news like Stampy's finale.

Honestly, I almost can't comprehend all the the stuff that has happened through this year. It was such a fine ride and I hope that next year would continue getting better.

you missed Copper bulbs intentionally being made to have 1gt tick delay (by the devs who came up with it), only for it to be taken away, presumably for parity with Bedrock's redstone (which isnt actually on par or equal with Java)

as it turns out, something did happen in the last 4 days of the year. the internal mojang handbook written by jeb that was briefly shown at a previous minecon, has made its way onto the internet by... some means. there isn't actually that much important stuff inside of it, but apparently the lore behind the endermen is that they pick up blocks because they are trying to dismantle all the dimensions block by block or something.
