Top 10 De-Evolution Cards in Yugioh (Cards which are weaker versions of other cards)

Показать описание
Occasionally they'll print cards that are actually just weaker versions of existing cards, or younger versions of existing cards, which were printed after the original cards and not before. In this list were to go over summon the best cards in the game, which were supposed to be de-evolutions of their original counterparts to be weaker, but on some occasions actually surpassed their original inspirations in playability.

I'd also add Metaverse in here. It has downgrade from Terraforming in that it's a Trap that needs to be set first and is therefore slower. But the fact that you activated it on your opponent's turn made it busted as hell for Mystic Mine decks

Top 10 strongest cards that were low rarity in their debut pack. Would be interesting to see which "pack filler" cards ended up being the most impactful. One example I can think off the top of my head is performapal monkeyboard which was originally common

I disagree with foolish burial goods being a weaker reprint, by nature of the cards they’re completely different. Unlike Lightning Vortex and and Raigeki you’d never use burial goods in place of foolish burial.

I feel like Beatrice is more fitting to be a de-evolution card for Lavalval Chain than Curious

People use prosperity over extravagance not just because you dig through 6 cards, but because you choose what to banish. That's enough of a change that makes it see use since that's better than randomly banishing.

I bet that zombie dude on the artwork for Overdone Burial is all like "bruh, okay, I think you can just bury me for real now." Lmao.

#1 - In the long run, who could have guessed THAT would be Yubel's strongest card?

This list was mixed. Some were good some not that good. Imo foolish burial goods and ddr are inspired by foolish burial and premature but not deevolution... just a different focus/nature. Monster Reincarnation x Monster Reborn was another example as well.

I would suggest top 10 "unlimited atks"... something that get attack based on X monsters on Graveyard/Banished something like this...
Some monsters: Rage of Deep Sea, Gren Maju da Eiza, Buster Blader...

You missed the best part of Prosperity imo, that you get to choose the Extra Deck cards. Having to banish at random with Extrav heavily punished playing all 1-ofs, meaning the only decks that could play it without heavy drawback had EDs with everything at 2-3 copies. By being able to choose with Prosp you could play powerful 1-of cards without fear of accidentally banishing them.

I always looked at D.D.R. as a retrain of Return From the Different Dimension. Instead of flooding the field with 5 monsters, you have to choose 1 without the restriction that it had to be 1500 ATK or less.

Duel, I never saw a Yu-Gi-Oh match in person, but I'm curious about one thing: do the players speak their plays out loud or they just expect the other player to know what's going on like In chess?

I'm confused by the Grinder Golem thing... doesn't Akashic Magician say "2 monsters *except* Tokens"? How does that work then?

You could add Anti-Spell vs Imperial Order in a future video
