My eldest daughter danced for the same studio for 15 years - she danced her last dance for that studio to this song. It was beyond beautiful! Now, my youngest daughter will be dancing that same dance as her chorus class sings it for their Winter concert. I'm so looking forward to it! I took both my daughters to see Ingrid Michaelson in concert at the Weidner Center at UWGB. What a great surprise to us all when she sang this song that night. This song means a lot to me and my girls! Goosebumps and tears ever time I hear it!

Heard this song 8 years ago while sitting alone in a Starbucks when I first moved to NY from Cali... it was so cold that day, I was homesick, lonely, and in a very bad relationship... So everytime I hear this song, it always attributes to that feeling of wanting to go home and sit by the fireplace with family...

Haunting... A gladness but also a deep sadness... A longing for a closeness, an intimacy of two alike souls. A reminder of the basic hurt wanting love but a warmth of how close it became at one point so long ago. It pulls out memories as well as wishes. It brings tears to my eyes yet wraps me in a blanket. A yearning never lost and present forever... A love long gone but still fresh for the heartbreak has not waned. I hope she knows how loved, respected and admired she was... Because she was.
