I am guessing you would prefer to have a smartwatch that does everything you need, looks good, at as low a price as possible. The Huawei Band 10 might be just that smartwatch, so I picked up two to scientifically test if that is the case, this standard black one and this quite good looking yellow one. You can likely pick one up for less than 50 bucks, and if the Huawei Band 10 can do most of what it promises, there might be no need to pick up an expensive Google Pixel Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch or Apple Watch. However, in this video I will likely partially shatter that dream, since I encountered a few issues with this brand new Huawei device. Luckily, it’s not all bad news, and for some of you, this is still the best choice out there. In this video we’ll scientifically and systematically test the health and sports tracking of the Huawei Band 10, so let’s get to it. By the way, for those of you that are new to the channel, my name is Rob, and I am a postdoctoral scientist specializing in biological data analysis.
Overall, the Huawei Band 10 isn’t a bad device. For the price it has decent heart rate tracking, and if you just want some basic sleep metrics like time spent in bed and maybe your HRV, it will likely suffice. However, in this case, spending more money on an Apple Watch or Pixel Watch will give you better data. If you need that data, and if you can even use it, that is very personal, so you will have to decide for yourself. If you plan on getting this watch, I would be interested to hear why you decided on the Band 10, and not one of the competitors in the comments below. Now, if you want to get sneak previews on results, consider becoming a YouTube member, and if you decide to get the Huawei Band 10, a Whoop Strap, an Oura Ring, an Eight Sleep Pod 4, another device, or anything at all on Amazon for that matter—even something as small as toilet paper—and want to support the channel and save some money, there are different affiliate links in the description below. Now, given that you watched this whole video on the Huawei Band 10, I think you will like this video on the best sleep stage trackers, and this video on the Whoop strap.
