Imagine a world where you could recharge your mobile phone by going to the toilet. Well, the future is here.

The "Urinotron" is on display at Melbourne University where, if you're brave and have a strong gag reflex, you can watch this futuristic machine take your urine, transform it into power for your mobile phone, before recycling it back to pure water.

People are invited to contribute their own urine (yep!!) and watch it turn into pee power.

Pissing into a loo is one of the dumbest things one can do. Not only have you wasted 3 litres of perfectly drinkable water by flushing it away, you have now created 3 litres of polluted water that needs to be treated at the sewage treatment plant. Wee into your garden, it's better for the environment.

I live out in the woods and pee outdoors in a couple of particular spots and it is amazing how many different creatures utilize the stuff. Deer, squirrels, birds, ants and, yes, even honey bees.
