If you own a Chinese laser cutter this little series of videos about me learning how to use the free software provided, may solve the problem of trying to learn from a virtually unreadable manual.
I am nothing to do with RD Works, I am not an instructor and I am no expert. This series will document the essential bits of many hours of trial and error

I have to tell you, I have been nervous about purchasing a Chinese laser for some time, but your tutorials have really helped me feel a lot better about it.

Hi! Thank you very much for these very informative videos. I have a similar machine to yours. I've noticed that when engraving, your machine stops instantly before going the other way while scanning. Mine, by default, overshoots to allow for deceleration and acceleration and this results in a much smoother movement. While you were engraving in this video you could hear the jolts created by the sudden stops. I wonder where this setting is because sometimes when I engrave a large plate the machine doesn't have enough room for this overshoot and I would like to reduce it possibly. If you have any idea about where this setting is, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

Or get a large "O" ring and fit it to the bottom of the glass, the rubber will give good drive from the metal roller to the glass, or cut a disc out of mdf to the outside diameter of the glass and cut a hole just slightly larger than the bottom of the glass in the disc then press the disc onto the bottom of the glass until it wedges on the taper and the glass will be level, then check which way the glass travels when rotating and place that end up against the metal of the rotator frame to stop the movement.

Where can I find the DXF files for this jig. Also was wondering if you every put together a DVD of all your post on the laser, like a master file on them. That would save a of time and would be great to take to the shop and not have to try to find them on the net. I think there may be a interest in this. I would be willing to go $20.00 to save me time and have all this great information at hand. Thanks Dan

If someone needed to do an odd shape on a pinch, could you just lift the entire bed on one side until the piece is horizontal? Maybe add some feet with adjustable risers :)

Do you have plans available for the cylindrical jig for leveling the item to be engraved

I have a Chinese laser engraver and was wondering if you might have a template with directions on building the little unit that levels out glasses and cups?  I have been so frustrated with not being able to engrave glasses like the one you worked with.  Thanks.

Hi, I have a problem, my machine has an input for the rotary attachment, but i cant seem to get it to work, i followed other instructions that i had to change the parameters. now my machine is uncalibrated from both x and y axis and when i use the reset xy there is an offset since the head keeps moving and it crashes with the borders. how can i fix this???

When it comes to glass shards after the engraving, I found that a cheap nail brush that can be purchased for around $.99 works well. I buff all my glassware engravings with one. No more shards unless the power is set to high.

I make wood pens. Are the two narrow rollers close enough together to be able to put a wood ink pen between then and engrave it?

G'day, great tutorials thanks. I can't say I've noticed you wearing any sort of eye protection, have I simply missed a video where you have shown us what you wear?

A video idea for you ... maybe.
Can you trick the machine into thinking the table workspace is bigger than it is?
Seems to me that if you tape one end of a 30" long piece paper to one roller, and wrapped the paper
around it..
You could tape the other end of it to the far roller,  and create a banner.
