I love how this showed up in my feed less than a day when it was announced this park is permanently closing 💀

They should've sacrificed Elich Gardens over AstroWorld

As a Marylander, 99% of Marylanders I know just make the drive out to Hershey Park bc SFA is that bad 😭

I went to SFA in 2019, and honestly, super underrated. Wild One is one of the most underrated coasters out there, Superman is awesome, Batwing was rough but very enjoyable, JJ has a pretty decent launch, RC is one of the best spinners out there. Idk, i don’t get the hate at all. Tbh i had a more enjoyable experience there than Hershey on the same trip

This park is no longer an absolute no but it is still a completely tragic plot of missed opportunity. It lays just 2 miles from the Washington metro meaning with a shuttle or extension it could open itself up to the 30% of Washington families without cars. Not to mention it’s so close to so many people in one of the wealthiest place’s on earth and is stuck with 20 year old coasters and bringing in 50 people a day. This place should be Disney’s America level not barely passing Darien lake.

Wild Waves Theme Park outside Seattle is worst the Elitch Gardens. We deserve a better park in Washington state.

I may go to SFA this summer as part of a trip that includes KD and BGW.

A major reason is that I think SFA will be gone within the next 10 years.

The best part about this disappointing park being so close to me is I'm in the perfect place to still go to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Kennywood, Hershey, and Knoebels with not bad drives.

Basically, the best part about being so close to this park is never going to this park. Better ones are still so close, anyways.

No it’s not good
But for the price it’s unbeatable lol
For a while they were offering season tickets for 75 dollars lol

I had a good time when we went a few years ago. Before they build the Harley quinn type ride. Got walk ons for everything. It was fun. No crowds

Being the only other park aside from Coney Island on the East Coast accessible by a major city’s public transit system, this park has a lot of potential. If the new Six Flags decides to pay attention to it (although I have my doubts because of Kings Dominion), it could easily become something worth visiting.

I feel like Six Flags America could be one of the greats if they invested. Sadly, I think its days are numbered. I predict they will close Joker and Batwing permanently this year, and perhaps the whole park.

Gilroy Gardens would NEVER have constant breakdowns 😤

Welp, better get that next visit before November of this year.

This just came up as they announced the closure of Six Flags America. Honestly the area is so bad around the park, it won’t be missed. Anyone near DC just goes to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens or Hershey Park.

Just got stuck today for 45 minutes in the lie position on batwing. Was on the first ride of the day.

I also was on the slc and it broke down on the break run. Took ten minutes.

I had a six flags day if you know what I mean.
But had a good talk with the GM and they are definitely improving

Sad news coming to residents of Maryland, Six Flags America is set to close permanently on November 2nd.

From my experience, Six Flags America wasn't that bad. It's not great but, there are worse parks in the Six Flags chain.

It’s awkward cause this park is getting the axe now

I had the dishonor of visiting Six Flags America in 2011.
