It doesn't matter how many new or advanced weapons systems Taiwan acquires. They will always be at a disadvantage against China. Because of how tiny Taiwan's land mass is, all of their weapons will be confined to a very small area. China can easily track their assets via satellite and wipe them out by saturating their airspace with hundreds of missiles and drones. On the other hand, if Taiwan wants to retaliate it's going to be extremely difficult because China is large, has strategic depth and so all of China's assets will be spread far apart.
