If Greenpeace doesn't stand for this, then why aren't you turning over the names of the activists who caused the damage? They should be made accountable. The Peruvian Government is ready to sue them.

Greenpeace claims that they will start an independent investigation to determine whether the lines were actually damaged. Well, this is not for you to decide. The accountable party doesn't get to say how bad of a damage they caused - that's for the Government to decide. 

Yet another case when an NGO makes a "huge mistake" and believes that an apology is enough. I find apologies like this one offensive and condescending. As Peruvians we are really upset - if any of us damages historical sites, we get sued and thrown into prison. No excepsions should be made for Greenpeace.

This is like Monsanto saying 'Oh sorry, we killed all the bees, silly us' What happened at Nazca was disgusting, stupid and uneccesary.  I used to be a Greenpeace member, today I'm glad I'm not.

too late, I have canceled my monthly donation to Greendamagers . Sometimes they think like they can rule the world because of their philosophy, and that gives them right to be above the law (ex. attack on the Russian oil platform).

Greenpeace was so "selfless" in their act that they further desecrated the monument by putting their brand name below their "message", how did that self promotion help anyone?

The western countries that fund greenpeace should apologize not a black or brown man as their face. This guy on camera is not the one who made the decision, the ones that made it are of European descent, SO LOW.

They know very well what they did. Los cerebros que planificaron hacer esto sabian perfectamente las consecuendias que iban a tener. Greenpeace necesita popularidad y esto es una manera de llamar la atencion, lamentablemente se equivocaron en su estrategia. lamentable. mucha gente va a retirar el apoyo. y yo soy una de ellas.
