Why I Changed my ARPG from Isometric to Top-down?

I had to make a hard decision... I have to turn my isometric ARPG into 2D...
My ARPG's development has taken a turn! After weeks of consideration, I decided that Aeldun would be more fun, and better fitting for small team, if it would be 2D. And also a procedural generation improvement, and a skill system is already under works. Aeldun is an indie top-down RPG, developed in Unity3D, greatly inspired by Diablo.

Good progress, glad you stuck with the procedural generation of the levels.

Proc gen games are always so cool. Hope to see more on how you implement it

Good update - think the 2d style also fits! :D

I am always glad when I see that a game does not commit the mistake of isometric views. Especially in strategy games where you build roads or walls but for some reason cannot build diagonally, isometric graphics always diminish the experience, as in without other camera option the experience stops for me because I stop playing.
