Why was it a curve ball having Spidey in a Punisher game?
Punisher made his first appearance in a Spider-man comic so they've got a lot of history together.

avengers shouldn't count at all considering he was announced before the game launched as a playable character and he is actually part of the avengers in both the books and the movies

ps. the punisher one shouldn't count either since punisher was originally a spidey villian

Actually in disney infinity 2.0 and disney infinity 3.0 if you listen to Spider-Man's voice close enough it's an imitation of drake bells voice performance as Spider-Man in ultimate Spider-Man on disney XD so it's not actually drake bell voicing Spider-Man in disney infinity 2.0 and disney infinity 3.0 just some cheaper voice actor doing an imitation

spider-man is a big ally for wolverine and the x-men, so it wouldn't be weird to see the two together, and punisher's first appearance ever was in a spider-man comic, so also not weird, just surprising
