Messi played against the same teams for 17 years. Ronaldo had to move around, adjust, snd he was still banging in goals and assists. Even at 37 he got prem 3rd top scorer. When messi moved to a farmers league, he literally scored 11 goals the entire season... If messi had the same career path as roanldo, he would surely have less goals and assists.
