The original Motorola Razr was my first phone. When I was in middle school, everyone was using the first gen iPhone but I was still rocking the Razr lol.

I'm weird, I kept every cell phone I've ever had. One time I plugged one into see if it still worked for the hell of it, and it did! It was pretty surreal reading texts from 12 years ago 📱👀

I miss when cell phones where like this. Companies were making so many different phones then. It was actually fun to go to the store and get a new phone because you never knew what you were gonna get. I remember my Dad used a Razr and I was amazed by that phone.

Back when phones were exciting. The new razr+ 2023 sparked alot of interest in these newer foldables for me. It's the first one in the America's that actually looks like it isn't just a proof of concept. I'm picking it up and I've got that feeling I used to get back in the day. Y'know, when grabbing a new phone actually felt like an upgrade and gave you excitement.

I had the same exact Razr! My first cell phone I got to pick out when I was a senior in high school. I had it for like three years or so. Solid phone and so many memories.

I had startac, grey with fat battery. It fell off my motorbike with 60 kilometers. it came in three pieces, I put it together right away and it worked! After startac i take Razr black. I am very glad that you made a video about them, greetings from Greece.

It was and still is so beautiful. The electroluminescent keypad was so futuristic looking.

LOVE collecting 'retro' tech - fascinating that things from the late 90s and early 2000s are considered collectible, but here we are and I love it!

On these old phones they had something called wireless village built in where you could use AIM, MSN, icq, or yahoo messenger which is usually in the sms section of the phone. I actually bought AT&T's domain that they used for it so it actually could be possible to make it work again with escargot msn again or even discord without modifying the phone haha.

I loved my Razr phone, it always reminded me of early Star Trek communicators, and incidentlly I came across it the other day while looking for something else. They're so small and light compared to the massive phones we have today. If you just wanted a tiny phone to make and receive calls and not be distracted by anything but a phone call, it could work today as a second phone.

I didnt want to have a cellphone back in the day, until I saw someone using a black V3 and I immediately changed my mind. Such a sexy retro sci fi feel to it, and on top of it I remember you could hack in so many ways, like changing the picture on the external screen or the boot image etc.

The Razr and also the Sidekick were so cool. I hope as folding screen technology progresses, phone design gets creative again.

*_The RAZR wasn’t my first phone, but it was the first phone I bought with my own money. $200 back in 2005. While the phone was great, my memories of it were more centered around the tech. Wireless technology was changing so fast back then, and people didn’t have the understanding of it like they do today. I remember I had to drive to the city and park in a parking lot to download Doom RPG because it was the only place around that had 2G fast enough to do so. LOL I remember having it sitting on a table and my Uncle asked what it was. I told him it was my phone. Being completely serious, he replied, “No, really… what is it?” He couldn’t believe a phone could be so small. The RAZR really was the iPhone before the iPhone. Everyone either had one or wanted one._*

Remember those days. When you could tell you were getting a call a few seconds before the phone actually rang because of the interference with the fm radio or tv speaker
