I was 5'8" when I was 12, one of the tallest kids in the classroom, now I am 5'8½" ( but I say 5'9":) ) there was a kid who was 4'8" or sth. We used to make fun of him. Now he is 6'3" I guess. Universe has humour.

Life is so unexpected huh. You would expect a 6’4 12 years old kid to be like 7 foot grown up or something but who would have thought that a 6’4 12 years old kid would remain 6’4 forever and Conan who was short would shot up crazy at 20 and grow to 6’4. These two guys describe the definition of a very early bloomer and a very late bloomer perfectly.

I coach basketball and I've seen many examples of kids who were shorter than everyone that become one of the tallest. You'd think you'd tell by the parent's height but not always. I've seen kids grow to 6"4 and their parents are only 5"7 and 5"8-ish respectively. Conversely, some of the kids at ages 12-13 who were among the taller kids, are no longer taller than everybody once they reached 17+. Life has a funny way of determining things.
