Very nice work! I just created my own before seeing this. I added a column of check boxes to indicate cleared amounts vs. not cleared amounts and then used a "If-then" formula to find the sum of all uncleared amounts, then add that amount to the balance. I can then compare it to the bank statement online and know immediately if there is a mistake. If all cleared amounts have been checked in my spreadsheet, the amount in my "Compare to bank" cell will match. If it doesn't, I know there's a mistake somewhere.

Hi! Thanks for the video :) I don't know if this matters or not, but I'm a Mac user. When I left click and drag, it's not doing anything when I hit enter. I can't figure out how to copy and paste the formula to the balance column. Any ideas? THANKS!

What formula would you use if you wanted a running balance so that when you added a transaction, it would automatically change the balance and you wouldn't have the same balance running down the spreadsheet?

I am doing this through the app in my iPad and I can’t seem to get the formula to copy down to all other cells. I tried bring the blue dot down and then hitting enter but nothing happens...I double tapped on it as well and the outline turned red and it gave me an error sign basically

I don't understand why you used two formulas, and also wonder if there's a way to keep the balance from repeating--would simply clicking and dragging one box at a time solve that?
