Upgrading the bike can be very enjoyable when you follow the steps and get the components instruction set ready. Here is the quick summary video to show you the important footage to learn how to upgrade the Marin Muirwoods from Shimano 3x9 speed gear components to SRAM 1x12 speed.

The challenge:
Gear does not engage smoothly whether shift up or down even some grease applied on inner gear cable. We improve by realigning again the derailleur hanger.

Please take note, you are required to get the correct tools and bike tuning skills to get this job done.

did you realign the deraileur hanger because the wheel is dished for 9 speed? you didn't used a different wheel?

I thought I would have to get a new wheel or hub to put the 11 cassette on or do I still need too

Not exacly a how to video... No mention of why you measured the bottom bracket and what is needed to make sureit all lines up.

Nice video! I made I mistake to convert my 1x9 to 1x12, I got shimano slx/, deore and the casette is microspline so I have to buy another casette work with standard hub

Useless to film removing the old gear and installing new. commentary and discussion on how to make sure that the new groupset, etc is compatible with your bike would be more valuable by a longshot. 5 minutes of my life I won't get back.
