CORRECTION: Suddomeno doesn’t require the subscription service it is free to use and that is there as a bonus! It’s a great place to share flipnote and you can even getting running on the 3DS if you mod it!

Back then Flipnote Hatena was my youtube. I didn't have access to a computer or a smartphone so my dsi was my only way to see any animation. And I used to love watching Epic & Guitar's animation!

I made a few flipnotes back in 2010 when I was 12 that got me over 10, 000 red/green/blue/yellow hearts and I remember I was so happy that others enjoyed my art, I had even made friends with some people who’ve now gone on to work in major film/animation studios. I’ll miss those times

I remember watching Hatena back when I didn't have access to a computer and by extension YouTube. The ancient classics like Food Criminal and Mario vs Luigi are permanently imbedded in my subconscious.

I got Flipnote 3D pretty recently actually and have been having a lot of fun. I really wish there was something like Flipnote Hatena for 3D, even if it probably would’ve been discontinued at this point.

i still open up flipnote studio every now and then when i'm using my dsi. i used to use this thing all the time without having any idea what it was really capable of. it meant a lot to me and a lot more to some of my friends and i wish flipnote 3d got more/better/any support

God I miss Flipnote Studio so much. I remember I used to watch Hatena all the time growing up. I would stay up late downloading all the flipnotes that looked cool or made me laugh to my tiny 2 GB SD Card, and then watch them over and over again whenever I left the house. I remember being extremely upset when I heard that Hatena was shutting down, and even more upset when I found out there was no internet functionality in Studio 3D when Nintendo finally "released" it outside of Japan 2 years later. I know alternatives like Sudomemo now exist for sharing flipnotes, but the original Hatena just kinda had this magic that made it feel special to me and possibly many other people.

I think I still have all those old flipnotes saved somewhere, maybe I should find my DSi and go for a trip down memory lane.

I usually skip songs in YouTube videos (probably bc they remind me of something I'd do to make a video "better") but I was pleasantly surprised with yours. It flowed quite well, the lyrics were a little playful but still had thought behind it, and the music was nice too!
Overall, the video was fantastic, so for it to include a song that's catchy and related to the topic of the video, I'd say this is one of your best videos to date. Keep up the great work!

I actually fully grew up with flipnote studio and the 3d version. and to this day i animate pretty often on my dsi. I've made multiple music videos with flipnote studio and I hope one day the fanbase hits a resurgence. Also i love how much i have in common with the things you have in this video. i literally burn flipnotes on dvds and play them on that same exact emerson tv. I always use the black dsi XL, and funny enough, i also made a static animation of a penguin waving its flipper over a year ago. very funny. loved watching this!!
