Thank you for making this. I still find myself running back to PC in order to run the same games after buying a PS5. I had a 3080 and recently purchased a 4090. I know that wasn't necessary, but I only did it when I had the same realization - Consoles are outdated as soon as they release and there is no upgrading that will keep them relevant after 3-5 years.

I agree with you PC gaming is replacing consoles. The main barrier preventing people from PC gaming is the upfront cost for the PC. I also feel that some people are reluctant to purchase a PC as they do not quite have the convenience consoles have. And many people do not have technical skills and this deters people too. However I feel the main issue is the price barrier. If we can get the price of graphics cards down pc will completely dominate.

Good video. For me the switch to PC gaming came when the PS4 was paid to play online. I refused to ever buy /own an XBox due to having to pay money to play MP games online. When I switched my goal then and I am still currently following what I got into PC gaming for is gaming for less than what it cost to game on a console. Instead of paying the cost of PS+ / XBL I would take that money and put it to the side and once I have enough upgrade the part or parts and sell the old one.

For me I don't care about playing games on max settings. I only care about getting more FPS for less $ than a console.

The one thing I hate that console fanboys use for an excuse that PC gaming is too expensive and spending $400 ish on a console is way cheaper yet here they are spending $60+ per year to play those MP games online making that console cost more like $700 ish after 5 years not including the price of having to possibly replace a controller once and not including the price difference of PC games vs console games.

I got ps5 and is amazing machine with good tv is hard to complain. Also I got gaming laptop not only for games ofcours. But you can buy games more cheaper on ps5, is lies about pc cheaper games 😂 Pc is more complicated system you need to spend a lot of time with all settings. Only one good thing is that you can play multiplayer games without subscriptions🎉 Both is great systems, so you can’t go wrong with either 😊

Given how quickly AMD APUs are getting better, I wonder how long it will be before I can build a small PC with a similar or better performance to a console, with around the same price. Something like that, with a controller and the new Steam UI would be the best of both worlds. Free multiplayer would be a big bonus, as well as access to both libraries.

I see a lot of people lately complaining the latest game releases coming out playing at 30 fps. Some people saying why not give us the same setting options reserved for pc. This is the one thing that would kill console gaming over night. Anyone who plays on pc knows this. I know I am not alone in the fact when I start a new game I am adjusting settings to get the best visual quality I can achieve then bumping things down till I can be happy with the frame rate. If console players could see the graphical quality they are missing out on, they would be realize how many generations of wasted money on consoles they are behind.

Back in the day I had a PC for PC games and consoles for console games. Nowadays my household have gone PC Exclusive. Everyone has their own custom built rig and the PS5 and Xbox series will most likely not be brought in.

I have a pc and its way better, once you learn steam and file organisation its super easy! All my games on pc are so much better than my ps5 versions! Ps5 is easy plug and play but performance and online features is a no brainer - ps emulator for exclusives too 😉

Consoles and PC's both have motherboards, cpu's, gpu's, RAM, Power, cooling, cases, storage and operating systems. Consoles are just more closed off with less options and horsepower

I used to be a PC and console user, but right now I only use a PC. I would rather spend a lot of money on a PC than a console and spend less money on games and multiplayer.

Um, the price jump. Huge... Just massive. That's actually not A reason, THE reason consoles do so well. The GPU shortage is definitely the main reason for this. Either way consoles will always be a lot cheaper.

My pc still a 2080, i have a ps5, but im looking into getting a steamdeck too, my pc will be fine ill wait to upgrade after the 4090 lol, all the time in the world, people have also been leaving console to be able to enjoy the fully updated pc version of planetside 2.

The money argument is so overdone. Yes, you pay more upfront for a PC than a console but if you just want to play games at good frame rates and good visuals (notice I use the word "good" there and not "amazing") you don't need to spend thousands and thousands. That's one of the biggest myths about PC Gaming from console players.

The steam deck has definitely replaced my consoles
