Thanks! I just saved one of my husband's work uniform shirts with this method. Except my fusible stabilizer *actually* fused this time and I can't peel it up to cut away the excess. LOL Doesn't work when I want it to and works too well when I don't want it to. Good thing it was featherweight.

Hi! I have an almost new terrycloth kitchen towel with a bold floral print that suddenly has a rather large hole in it. I really do not want to have to cut it up and make smaller things out of what is left - will this technique work on it? Thanks!

I thought my parents dropped the feed dogs. Is that advisable? I never have successfully been able to get it to look nice like yours. my dad taught me to sew because my mom did not have time to with us three children. Both are gone now. Mom did mending for me because she had to learn hand sewing before machine. Hers was very neat. I learned machine first and never got it neat like hers unless it was cross stitch where every thing is pre-marked where you stitch.
