He is a singer, song writer, dancer, tv host, actor, reality show judge, producer and the 1st UNICEF Philippine National Ambassador of which he still holds...btw he has diabetes since he was 14yrs old and was told by doctors the he will not live past the age of forty and now he is 53yrs old.Indeed a ray of light who have inspired and touched so many others...and people wonder where does that positivity coming from...that soul in the voice that doesn't just sings but tells a story that resonates to all of us...that gives you the chills...a pure sweetheart indeed... Everything you said about him is true. He really is an amazing, genuine and good man. Everyone in the showbiz industry looks up to him not just because he's a living legend but because he's full of wisdom, he gives advices to his juniors especially the new artists. gary v is the most intense, emotional singer in the Philippines. His interpretation or cover songs are always better than the original.

That chorus is sooo iconic here in the Philippines. It roughly translates to “if you have nothing else to hang on to, if you don’t understand what’s going on anymore, then hang on to me, i’ll never let you go.” And since his version is the more famous one and was used on the OST, there were times where people would just randomly tweet him when they’re feeling down asking him if they can hang on to him and he replies with yes. Even those who don’t even watch the show where this song is from know that chorus sooo well.

Thank you for reacting to that video of Sir Gary V. He is a very inspiring artist. He battled with type 1 diabetes as early as 14 y/o and was told that he might not reach above the age of forty. But as you see, at 52, he's very active and energetic. My father always look up to him when it comes to life and music.
