Eleven years in the minors, called up to the club in your home town, your brother sees you hit a grand salami, and broke down on the best sports channel on YT. This is a high point. Can it get any better?

“Cause that’s what you’re supposed to do to the opposing pitchers” is that foreshadowing?

The Padres are such a fun team. I wouldn’t mind seeing this team end the championship drought out there.

I’m on a stadium road trip from Colorado, and this was my first ever game at Petco. I was sitting Row A just behind the richies box. What an electric moment it was in the 4th and then again in the 9th when they won with the walkoff single.

That hand waving old guy is a legend!! Since I was a kid they’d always put him on the big screen. So awesome seeing him later

Genuinely brought a handful of tears to my eyes. As silly as it is, this game is beautiful, and it’s moments like this that make me think so.

Got to meet him at the Pads game tonight...incredible young man, and was glad to be able to thank him for a once in a lifetime moment. Hoping the best for him to return from surgery and make more MLB memories, but I doubt any would top this!

Grieving Met fan here. Comforting myself by watching some of my favorite "blessed" baseball moments. This one ranks really high. Who is the broadcaster? One of the all-time best calls. By the way, Scherzer gave up four home runs to San Diego in the first wild card game .
