Upgrade iPhone 12 64GB Storage to 256GB - The Easiest Ever?

preview_player
Показать описание
From first iPhone to iPhone 11, Apple has stored serial number, WiFi address, and Bluetooth address on NAND. However, REWA technicians recently discovered that the NAND on iPhone 12 does not store serial number, WiFi address, and Bluetooth address, which means that the NAND of iPhone 12 can directly be replaced by an iPhone 12 NAND and activated. Therefore, REWA technicians speculate that the storage upgrade of the iPhone 12 will be easier than previous models. Check out this video to verify our speculation!

Apple: No, you can't upgrade your phone storage after the purchase.
REWA: Well no but actually yes.

Interesting to see that Apple makes something easier, for a change. usually they try to make things more difficult. Thanks for this!

Its funny that after he does the install of the 256 chip, and he is setting up the device, it shows 64gb just for a second! take a picture of the info on the screen, and compare it to the info once it says 256. the modem firmware changed.. its not the same device. it has just been flashed with the same serial number, and wifi numbers.

How about nand flash on MacBook Air M1? Can we just change the nand and install the OS?

I don't know upgrading from 64GB to 256GB by this way is easiest or not.. But I'm sure it cost hell lot cheaper than Apple's 256GB upgrade option 😂

I thought the word 'easiest' was meant to be doable for DIY...but this somehow, is doable if you are in a semiconductor factory...lol

Anyone notice that at 5:19 after the NAND upgrade the capacity status still says 64GB? YET shortly after says 256GB. So I believe this video is fake HOWEVER I do know NAND upgrades have been done before yet this video seems fake

This is great for older iPhones. For 100$ you can get double the storage plus keep your phone intact and water resistance and warranty. Don't even try DIY.

Wouldnt it be crazy if manufacturers made a kind of removable storage that you can insert like a sim card to get more storage? Oh wait...
