Ξεκίνησε την Τρίτη 3 Μαΐου, στην ευρύτερη περιοχή των Βαλκανίων και της Μαύρης Θάλασσας, η μεγάλη πολυεθνική στρατιωτική άσκηση Defender Europe 21, στην οποία συμμετέχουν 28.000 άνδρες από 26 χώρες, με τις Αμερικανικές στρατιωτικές δυνάμεις να έχουν τον κυρίαρχο ρόλο, αποσκοπώντας στην βελτίωση της επιχειρησιακής ετοιμότητας και της διαλειτουργικότητας, μεταξύ των συμμαχικών χωρών του ΝΑΤΟ και των εταίρων.

The large multinational military exercise Defender Europe 21, involving 28,000 men from 26 countries, began on Tuesday, May 3, in the wider Balkans and Black Sea region, with the US military playing a leading role, aimed at improving operational readiness and interoperability between NATO allies and partners.
