I've taken IELTS test with the examiner before who was really kind of you and I could hear his all of questions really clearly yet easly from start to finish.

I think she got 8.5 because she was from Korea. Korean, Chinese, and Japanese have harder time learning English because of grammatical orders in a sentence, which is just the opposite of that of English. And her sentences are coming out very stably. considering her age, it is amazing achievement.
