Edward Snowden has revealed himself be the whisteblower who exposed the NSA's secretly-ordered blanket mass surveillance. Many pundits are calling him a traitor, while others call him a hero for alerting Americans to an unconstitutional privacy-violating program. In my opinion, Snowden is a hero. He risked his life for the sake of Americans' rights. To all of you who say he is inventing this... Really? Why would he ruin his life for a lie? And why would the USA chase after him so intensely if he was a simple liar?
Some of you claim that he gave up secrets to China and Russia. Maybe he did. But if that is the case, he did so because he had no other choice. To others that wonder why he sought cover in China and Russia... Because those are the only countries who have enough power to stop the USA from getting him.

I am so tired of people saying "Oh! But I don't do anything wrong, so I don't need to worry about the NSA spying on me!" Yes, you should be against it, even if you don't do anything wrong. Because that is your right. The US government has been taking away its citizens' right for far too long; though, I should say privileges, because...if they can be taken away they aren't actually rights.

He's a hero. The reason he didn't leak the info to lawyers and judges is because (lets be honest) most of them can be easily corrupted to overlook such things. The only way to get this out was to show the world. He is a HERO to the american people.
