Small info : You need to get 75% of wiggling to finally get 25% from a fall (and getting out of the killer's grasp).

Edit : I love saying not-that-useful informations, so get that one for free :
Wiggling takes 16 seconds. 25% of wiggling equals to 4 seconds. Quicc Maffs.

Honestly, it's fine. I was getting tired of my teammates deliberately doing nothing and wanting to get slugged on the 2nd floor.

I would let them bleed out on purpose sometimes, too.

Now what is the point of boil over? The kill will know you have boil over and will carry you immediately so you don't recover if you gonna nerf it make the progress to 15% or 10%.

So they had two options, either nerf boil over or put hooks on second floors, but its behavior and they're stupid so they did both leaving boil over absolutely irrelevant again

As I enjoy playing both sides of the game, I have noticed that all perks are supposed to counter the enemies play-style. Like how Iron Maiden is great for countering survivors hiding in lockers to avoid BBQ, and how Calm Spirit is good for countering stuff that reveal their locations such as Iron Maiden or the Doctors shock therapy. Basically the 25% bonus from falling with boil over was supposed to be a good way to keep killers from taking ridiculous shortcuts. The problem was (first of all) that most killers didn’t try to use perks like iron grasp to give them more time to get to the hooks, and (secondly) survivors would look for spots and ways to abuse the big drops and long routes. I’m fine with Boil Over being nerfed and still having a drop bonus of some kind, but my only problem is that both sides spas out when one small change happens because they expect to have a perfect win rate, but the fact is that not everything is going to go your way and that you aren’t always going to win. Instead of being overly competitive, just look for a different perk set or find a way to have (un-abusive) fun with the change.

i almost never used the drop. I almost always wiggled out because of the other buffs so this isn’t really that big. i feel like the whole drop thing should’ve never been a thing. it was so much fun when i did wiggle off from a drop but it was almost never

Okay at least now you need to pair it with flipflop or have someone run breakout. It's not a guarantee every time now and it punishes the killer if they slug you..

I personally think this is a good nerf, the perk is still usable with flip flop, tenacity etc.

Hmm I was wondering about this–– had a game the other night where a James was running a full boil over build on that Macmillan map that always spawns a gen on the second story of that small storehouse with 2 breakable doors. Basement spawned RIGHT beneath it. I downed him and walked him down the stairs while hugging the wall as I turned, the swaying had me fall less than an inch somehow a step or two down from the basement opening... and that was enough for him to wiggle free.

I just wtf'd??? Since I had immediately picked him up so no flip-flop value and what with the nerf I really couldn't figure out how the hell he wiggled off so damn fast.

It was obviously too strong but i feel like this wasnt the right way. When is there ever a fall next to a hook? & how often is there a hook on the elevated area that they dont see/gets sabotaged, & like 3 options within 25m? Falling while carrying a survivor is like *always* avoidable & ppl just try shortcut, the flat 25% gave you a chance if they didnt pay attention. Ive been carried past hooks like 20 times & only played since november.

The only think the falling bonus will do now is save you from being basemented if the killer is really trying to reach.

Honestly think to yourself how often a killer has carried you or how often you have carried a survivor and fallen after theyve got wiggle progress. Like even halfway to the hook. For me, that answer (outside the basement scenario) is never.

A good change, plus they should've made it more clear in the description.
Cause I thought it was buff but reading it closely it was a balanced changed.

As a killer main im glad this change is coming. The less infinites there are the better. The fact that you often have to just force people to bleed out or get fucked by boil over if the survivor just finds a good spot is fucking absurd

The perk is useless now. Not because of this nerf alone but also because the devs added several more hooks on all stages with upper floors. They should have done one or the other but not both.

I feel boil over wasn't that big of a deal. I main killer and I never had anybody wiggle off from boil over. Like you know they have it when you pick them up so just use the stairs or make sure theres a hook right next to the drop off? Let me know how it was a problem for you cause I never encountered it

But think tho. The killer is most likely to drop from a height at the start of carrying a suv not the end meaning you will never realy get a benefit out of it

People saying killers were crying about it when the fact is the perk was being abused and used to make infinites a thing. And now that you can't do that it's useless 🤣 yeah okay dude.
