Remember that intel does tdp by base clock so they can say 25 watts but in reality the chip pulls 45 to 50 watts. Figured that out the hard way with some laptops ive owned.

You were right though the first time. It's because it's a monolithic chip. They can reduce the latencies by integrating everything close together instead of having IF tie the CCD and IO chips together. So you can get by with a quarter of the L3 cache.

I love that 4700G beating 3800X, i can use that igpu for awhile till i upgrade to a proper gpu that can utilise that 8core in 1080p, rx5600XT should be the bare minimum
