this is why we don't see other intelligent aliens. it's the great filter we destroy our planets before we can ascend the stars....

I guess China declined to comment on coal consumption, but thrilled to have a scapegoat.

The old lady said we need to move forward as a country. I think she needs to think globally. That's the problem with most of the world and the leaders, and the influencers, is that they're thinking locally. Just like covid-19 affected the whole planet and the whole planet is working on a vaccination. The whole planet needs to think of how to fix our ecology! To work together on pollution Etc because it doesn't just stay in the boundaries of one area it travels the whole planet. What affects one area will affect the whole world in many cases. Mount Saint Helens eruption is a good example the Ash went around the world!🌎

Yeah, but now California is burning down. Even wood smoke is toxic. And when houses and cars etc, burn, it really sucks. Bike paths would really pay as now you can get cheap electric bikes which are really good to get to work w/o sweating too hard. Plus bikes safe in covid times.

Dear NBC, did you miss all the climate scientists who were interviewed on this very subject during April? The response across the board was, even though carbon emissions dropped immensely during the worldwide "lockdown, " this fact won't make any difference in humanity's environmental fate. The pandemic effect is but a drop of water in an ocean. On another topic, don't you know the phrase "save the planet" in regard to environmental and climate concerns is totally old fashioned? Ancient. Like, 1992 called and it wants its phrase back. Now, everyone knows environmental and climate concerns are to save humanity and our present civilization. The planet will survive in a changed form regardless.
