I used to have a coworker 20+ years ago. During our lunch breaks, we often talked about how absurd religion is. When he quit a couple months later, he told me that he was starting a church. I asked wtf he was talking about. He said there was too much money to be made. When I bumped into him a couple years later, he said he did start his church, and he still had it. He said he worked about ten hours a week and was making $40k a year. The last thing he said to me was, "God bless you" as he winked.

My brother, now deceased bless his soul, was a schizophrenic from a young age. He played guitar and wrote long, convoluted sci fi stories. He had Frank Zappa, and only Frank Zappa, in his head, talking to him. I used to think that was a bad thing. After seeing this, I think it might have been a good thing.

I've wished, for years, that Frank Zappa was still alive. He was always competely insightful about the direction America was going in. He was predicting all of it, from the 70's onwards. I really miss that guy. We need him more than ever.

I don't even understand how is it at all possible that one guy can stand at a podium and literally say
"I'm the best president ever! I'm better than everybody! I never lie, I never cheat, I'm perfect! Only I can save you!"
and that's enough to actually make half the world believe him.
This is isn't even a question of politics or beliefs.
This is just insanity.

YESSS. Frank Zappa was a genius. His father was a US government official so he knew a LOT about US. If Frank were alive today he would absolutely eat Trump alive in any debate forum. FZ is missed.
