Wow! Last heard this one in, IIRC, the late 1970's on WPOR in Portland, Maine, played by Clement Paradis, an announcer who used the air name Bill Clement (no relation to the hockey player/ broadcaster of the same name).

Man I love this song! Loys of kids are having a test, and I am going to have a test this coming Tuesday! I was watching this in my classroom, and one of the meanest and stupid kid named Stephen MacCulloh (Or something like that) said it was cheesy. Everyone sang along with the voice of Stompin Tom. When it was done, everyone wanted our teacher to play it again. They laughed at the Capital City, Regina. So I said "Not that one! If you are thinking that kind, it starts with a V!" Oh yeah. Well all I can say is this: if I ever go on Jeopardy, I will listen to this song just in case they have a Canadian capital city category! Honestly though, this song oozes with love and patriotism for one’s country, and this is a hallmark of Stompin’ Tom. I love his music, and this is one of my favourites!
