Benji thank you for all the amazing content! Honestly love how you take the girls out to the shops and have them so involved and learning these life skills at such a young age!!! You and Judy are amazing!!

JB is so beautiful! And of course so is Miya and Keira. But JB holds a sweet spot for those who are longtime viewers ❤

Benji, the variety pack of side dishes is for Bibimbap. Put it over rice, drizzle sesame oil & red pepper paste with a fried egg. Enjoy!

i think jb is talking about jeon which is a korean pancake/fritter with a variety of different fillings! there’s seafood jeon, kimchi jeon, etc. any vegetable would work! just thinly cut the zucchini and lightly fry with korean pancake/fry mix (they sell it at hmart) 🫶🏼🫶🏼 they even have frozen and premade versions of the pancakes! i’ve seen the kimchi ones at hmart

That is great that you are teaching the girls Japanese! I have watched some Korean cooking and I have made that zucchini. They also dip other veggies and even very thin pieces of beef in the egg and fry it. Thank you for the fun trip to the store!!!!

We love buying thinly slice brisket also. Lettuce wraps using green leaf lettuce, sliced garlic, & sliced jalapeños. We like to use saamjang paste or sesame oil/salt/pepper as a dip.

Thinly cut zucchinni deep fried is so delicious, it's like fries very crispy and thin but i've only had it once at a local greek restaurant since my family never deep fries only shallow fries.

My grandmother ( Nonna in Italian) would make dandelion greens. I think people ate them during WWII and the Great Depression since food was rationed.

The closest H-Mart to me is in. Chicago. I have always wanted to check it out. I wish we had more Asian grocery stores here in Northwestern Indiana.

Dandelion is so good for! You can eat the entire plants even the roots!! Its also a coffee substitute from the root! Best to take them from a place where you know they dont use pesticides. Or just plant it!

I love that you are teaching the girls Japanese and making them wanting snacks into a teachable moment. I could definitely see JMK going to college in Japan, the Phillipines, or Korea. I was born and raised in Napa (Napa Valley) and our neighbor growing up was a pilot for JAL and a JAL pilot instructor as a fun fact, all JAL pilots in training will train at the Napa Airport. My neighbors wife was always so sweet and kind, she was incredibly hospitable, she taught me how to make ketcup rice and taught me Japanese. Mind you this was like 35 yrs ago, but i remember it like it was yesterday

To make the zucchini the Korean way ( Hobak Jeon)..its usually sliced, coated in flour, dipped in egg, then pan fried!

We just got our first HMart In Utah a couple of weeks ago. I got lucky because it’s only about 10 minutes away from my house. I’m so excited to go check it out. I’m hoping they carry the same things you’ve shown and recommended!

Sweet rice = sticky rice. People eat it with papaya salads, meats, etc.
