Maritime border deal: Lebanon, Israel satisfied with US proposal

Lebanon says the US mediated maritime border deal with Israel satisfies all requirements.
Lebanon's lead negotiator says if 'Everything goes well' it could lead to a 'historic deal'.
The final text of the US brokered deal will now be sent to Lebanon’s leaders for review.
Media reports suggest the deal could be signed October 20 in Lebanon’s border town Naquora.
Israel's national security adviser has also said his country's demands have been met.
The US drafted a proposal on resolving the dispute between the two nations.

When Israel was fighting Arabs in 1960s, Israel tried to buy tanks but Europe and the US refused to sell tanks to Israel not to upset Arabs but S Korea sold 400 Sherman tanks to Israel. During pandemic, S Korea also sent testing kits to Israel and worked between UAE to bridge with Israel which resulted in recognition and embassy to each other. Since establishment of S Korean Dongmyeong unit peace keepers in Lebanon in 2007 with over 5, 000 S Korean troops served, there have been no shelling from Lebanon to Israel. S Korean units provided medical needs, free taekwondo lessons and aid to local population to steer away from conflicts. Since satisfied by both Lebanon and Israel, Dongmyeong unit is longest dispatched S Korean peace keeping unit.

A rancid business deal hastily thrown together by a weak Lebanese gov't, weak Israeli gov't and a very weak US gov't looking for a photo op before it's early November elections. Btw, I think that many Lebanese interests are aligned with Israeli interests, therefore a peace agreement between the two countries will benefit both greatly. The only obstacles are NOT the will of the ppl of Israel or Lebanon, but Hizballah and Iran.
