Ukraine is launching counteroffensives to regain Kherson from Russian forces

“They started a massive attack and have taken some of the territory back. There’s three lines of defences" around Kherson, "but Ukrainians say they have breached that first line of defence.”

Ukraine is keeping their current movement in the counteroffensive as opaque as possible show that they are serious in carrying out the operation to a successful conclusion rather than to make it just a PR offensive. This move shows that we can expect real results from Ukraine. Time will be the judge.

The thing is, the Russians aren't really in a position to 'throw everything' at the defence of Cherson because crossing the Dnieper has become such a challenge.

There are other sources of information, intercepted calls from Russian solders calling home also indicate deserting Russian solders. The same call also indicate the shortage of supplies.
