Can you rewire your brain so that you don't feel anxious all the time. Is neuroplasticity real? Do people with anxiety disorders have different brains. I look at research into anxiety disorders and the brain. MRI scans of people with generalised anxiety disorder, panic disorder and PTSD reveal some fascinating insights into how anxiety works in the brain and how activity in the amygdala, hippocampus and pre frontal cortex indicate if you have an anxiety disorder. MRI images before and after CBT prove that it is an effective treatment for anxiety disorder

I know you normally wouldn’t tell a YouTube context creater this but you have been a huge part of my preganancy journey. Your work here on health phobias and GAD was a pure blessing. Today our little guy made his arrival. Thanks for your support and help.

Hi Martin. I’d like to thank you for the indispensable service you’re providing. Your advice and delivery is absolutely fantastic and has been significantly helpful to me since discovering your channel a month or so back. I’ve suffered with anxiety and panic attacks for 4 decades and have just been diagnosed with ADHD. I’ve seen a fair few therapists and psychiatrists now (which costs a fortune) and I therefore know your advice is 100% accurate and can vouch for its efficacy. The fact you’re providing this crucial information for free is extremely refreshing and very admirable. I wanted to ask if it’s at all possible for you to have a Spotify channel where you can upload your hypnosis sessions, and perhaps pod-cast style advice? It would be an easier way to listen to your episodes if one were unable to access You Tube. Also, are you able to offer any advice on ADHD related anxiety? Many thanks Martin. All the best, Matt. UK

Great video Martin. The workings of the brain are fascinating and my guess is that there is still a lot that science doesn't yet understand about it. 5 years or so ago there was a great 2 or 3 part series on BBC2 about the brain. Especially interesting to me were the workings of the hypocampus and the amygdala. It was also said that a surgeon in the USA back in the 1950s actually removed one man's amygdala in an attempt to help his anxiety! Sadly it left the patient with little or no long term memory. Whether or not it helped control his anxiety wasn't recorded. Thanks again for this video.

You see, I watch all these videos, and I know what’s going on, when I went to MIND I probably knew more then the therapist with the amount of research I do on here thanks to people like Martin. but why can’t I get through it and go back to normality . It’s been years now and every time I take a step forward I always take 2 steps back. New thing that’s stated is nerve pain now and it’s so annoying, I want the pains to go because it panics me more thinking I have serious health problems
