You should do the same video with the new XT15. Those things have a much more substantial crossover filter network on a circuit board, though the woofer still uses an iron core inductor. The magnet structure is likely larger as well, but with that big metal thing on these woofers you can’t really tell. Tweeter is far more substantial as well, though that may be because the magnet is ferrite instead of Neodymium. While the T15s have a loud, peaky midrange response and a hole in the treble, I found the opposite to be true with the XT15. They have a quieter, but more accurate, midrange. Treble is more well rounded, but a little bit forward at times. They also have a better bass response than the T15 to my ears, regardless of placement, even though they’re rear ported.

Looks to be 1st order crossover - iron core inductor coil on the woofer, and bipolar electrolytic capacitor on the tweeter. I can't tell whether it is a typical parallel crossover, or possibly it is a series? Corner gussets and single sheet of fiber damping. Shielded woofer magnet, and unshielded tweeter magnet.

Ok, but would these speakers serve well in a small room as the front speakers? I have a Technics SH-EH770 sound system with original front speakers + the central one connected and the bass is very "stompy"/"plonky". I believe the Technics front speakers are to "huge" for my small room. Is there ANY bass coming from Polk Audio T15 speakers? I would use them and Polk T30 center speaker both with Onkyo AV Receiver (I like the wide stereo effect). Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions.
