As a curly girl, I skipped the straight hair part(bc mum always told me horror stories about my hair falling out from a straightener and showed me how that looks by burning one or two hairs in fire) and went to cutting it off. Way happier with short hair now. Curly girls, short hair(like buzzcut. I started with a buzzcut, but ofc you can be a lil less extreme) is an option! If you hate your hair or you feel like your hair takes a lil bit too much influence on your life... just chop it off. It's absolutely worth it. Now, almost a year after giving myself a buzzcut, I still smile every time I get reminded(by mirrors, my reflection in windows, when I go through my hair etc) that I now don't have long curles anymore. It makes me way happier
