Why was iPhone XS discontinued?

Because the iPhone XS was replaced by the iPhone 11 Pro. It was the iPhone X.. then the iPhone XS.. and now today it's the iPhone 11 Pro. The iPhone XR is going to be discontinued and be replaced by the regular iPhone 11.
